just finished watching an episode where a boat went over somewhere south of the chain. they only found one person and he was fished out of the water. it just made me think what it would be like to just be lost at sea like that. when i was fishing in alaska i would look off the deck of the boat and be just overwelmed by the fact that there was no land to be seen. nothing but water all around. i just can't imagine what it would be like without even the boat and the few people around you. just you, floating in the water knowing it was not physically possible to swim the 250 miles to any kind of land.

so friday I ended up at the "My Life With The Thrill Kill Kult" show at the el corazon. now, i am not the biggest fan of industrial but this is a band from when i was a kid and i was super into them back then.

i had gone back and forth several times on whether to go but out of the blue the always lovely [info]cheerylilgoth messaged me and asked if i was going. that seemed like enough a good motivation so i went.

the show rocked. they put on a great show playing some of the great songs i remember. however, these folks are old. the two keyboard players i think were looking ok but man, time was not friendly to the lead singer.

shitty venue, but it is what it is. i think the next show is this friday to see apocolyptica.

thanks cheerylilgoth for motivating me!

wtf is up with remakes anyway?  now they have to make a halloween remake!? what in the world is wrong with the original that demands a remake.  my god this is going to suck!  rob zombie is directing it, which has some appeal.  house of a 1000 corpses sucked but the devil's rejects wasn't too bad.
